Part of my new series of collages based around lost and forgotten foods from the UK. Each collaged person holds a unique and special food item and is dressed in clothes I have designed, inspired by historic photos.
Here is some Whey Butter. This delicious product is a by-product of cheese making. It is firm and oily in texture and delicious slathered on warm bread. It is considered a slow food “forgotten” product as it requires specialist knowledge from its makers and is labour intensive to create. It’s highly associated with the west of the UK.
Paper size: A5 torn to size
This collage has been painted, drawn and cut out by hand.
